THREAD CONTROL TOOL
The prior art
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a threaded control tool for controlling either a nut / elier screw thread as well as the threaded length of the thread, which tool comprises a housing with a drive motor having an output shaft connected to a metering mandrel for rotating it while relieving the direction of rotation and axial movement. and is displayed on a display.
Thread control tools are known both as manually operated mandrels, which can be screwed in to check the thread clearance and where a sleeve extending around the mandrel is axially displaced in axial direction to determine the thread length of the thread.
To make the control easier and faster, motor driven mandrels are known which perform the same control without manual rotation.
An example of such a power tool is known from DK 177439 B1. The motor 4 with a gear is loosely located in a housing 1, supported by a bushing
14, which extends between the motor and the interior of the housing, and where a coupling piece 25 extends around the motor shaft to which the control mandrel 27 is attached.
A pin 11 is screwed into the shaft end of the motor, which pin can slide into an axially extending slot 12 in a measuring tube 8 and through a hole 13 in the housing 1.
This ensures that the measuring tube 8 can be moved in the axial direction but not rotated.
However, this tool suffers from the disadvantage that the motor and gear are loosely mounted in the housing, which causes inaccurate alignment and thus rotation due to possible deviations in relation to the common axis of rotation in which the rotating parts extend.
DK 2017 70030 A1
Furthermore, the opening 13 through the housing and the measuring tube is a possible access for foreign objects such as chips, oil, dirt, which may affect the function and movement of the dough.
The object of the invention
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is the object of the invention to remedy these disadvantages and to provide a reliable tool which will function without regard to it. any foreign substances in the measuring range and which can control a thread with great precision.
This is achieved according to the invention when the motor is built-in and held in a casing which is fixedly mounted in the housing and where the motor shaft is connected to the mandrel by means of a carrier which allows both rotation and axle! movement of the mandrel.
In this surprisingly simple way, a completely stable attachment of the drive motor to the cabinet is ensured, as it can be fixed by means of a screw connection to the cabinet.
This will allow the driving force to run in a common axis of rotation, which ensures accurate movement and thus accurate measurement of the rotation and axial movement of the mandrel, and this results in quieter driving. Added to this is the possibility of easy replacement of the drive unit, as it can be replaced by removal as a unit of the cabinet and replaced with a new unit. This simplifies the repair and maintenance of the tool as the unit is a single spare part.
By providing, as claimed in claim 2, the sheath with an axially movable guide piece, this can function as a protection of the drive unit and as a measuring object, since it will be pressed against the measured object by means of a spring and thus be a fixing point for the mandrel position of the mandrel. The length of the engagement can be registered 1 to 10! the axial movement of the g side piece.
By providing an end piece, as defined in claim 3, this will partly protect the mandrel and ensure a reliable system against the measuring object.
DK 2017 70030 A1
As provided in claim 4, providing the guide piece with a button extending in an axially extending groove in the housing, the guide piece may be manually displaced and thus be able to be returned to the spring force for releasing the mandrel when positioned relative to the thread to be measured. Thereafter, the guide piece will, by means of the spring force, remain in contact with the measuring object during screwing in of the mandrel.
As defined in claim 5, to design the housing to enclose the housing and the portion of the guide piece extending inside the housing, these parts will be partly protected and thus act as a safe control for the axial movement of the parts.
By placing a display at the top of the cabinet, as claimed in claim 6, this will be easily visible in the tool's operating position.
Finally, as claimed in claim 7, it is appropriate to provide the cabinet with ribs which are either molded or fitted with rubber ribs, thereby ensuring that tools become easier to handle and operate just as it will protect the tool.
The drawing
An example of an embodiment of the tool according to the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the tool with the guide piece advanced; FIG. 2 shows the tool with reversed guide piece; FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the tool itself and FIG. 4 shows a partial section of the embodiment of FIG. 1
DK 2017 70030 A1
Description of Execution Scene Chief
Fig. 4 shows in partial section an exemplary embodiment of the thread control tool 1 according to the invention.
s The tool includes a housing or housing 2, shaped like a conventional handheld tool, and adapted in size and weight for best handling with the least possible impact on the body.
For the protection of the cabinet, ribs 3, as shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 4, can be mounted on the outside as well as on the outside.
Furthermore, the shape is determined by the practical use of the tool and by the parts included in the tool.
As shown in Fig. 4, these parts consist of a drive part comprising a motor 16 with a motor shaft 14. This motor is built into a casing 13, which unit constitutes the driving part of the tool. The motor 16 is in a generally known way powered by a battery not shown.
To the casing 13, a locking ring 10 is attached to the rear, which attaches tightly to the interior of the cabinet and is secured thereto by means of a screw 11.
By loosening the screw 11, the unit 13,14,16 can be pulled backwards by the housing, which makes it easy to replace the unit in the event of such a need.
The slider 7 itself is shown in Fig. 3. It is a fully enclosed piece that may have circular or other cross-sectional profiles.
There are no slits or openings in the sliding piece and thus no possibility of access of impurities to the interior of this road, which is a great risk at measuring points in production halls etc.
Outside of the sheath 13, a compression spring 12. extends this spring 12 to move a guide piece 7 by means of spring pressure, and extends externally onto the motor sheath 13 and protrudes forward.
DK 2017 70030 A1
The spring 12 thus abuts the fixed ring 10 while the opposite end abuts the end flange of the slider 7 so that the slider 7, as shown in FIG. 1 and 2, can be moved forwardly relative to the housing 1 and back as shown in FIG. 2, against spring pressure.
Hereby, the slide 7 will act as a protective tube for the mandrel 17, which constitutes the control mandrel for controlling a nut in this case.
Another mandrel can be applied to the tool in case of screw thread control.
The mandrel is rotated by the motor 16 and its output shaft! 14 which is obtained by means of a carrier 15, as shown in Fig. A, extending between the shaft 14 and the shaft of the mandrel 17.
Since the mandrel 17 is to be rotated as well as axially moved at the inward and outward turns, the carrier 15 is formed as a sliding connection which allows both rotation and axial movement. movement of the mandrel 17.
ice To protect the mandrel 17, the slider 7 has a length which, together with an attached end piece 8, extends to the full length of the mandrel, as shown in Fig. 4.
Hereby, a scan of the position of the slide 7 in the cabinet 2 could constitute a starting reference for the relief, which can be shown on a display 6 at the top of the cabinet 2.
And furthermore, a sieve measurement reference when the mandrel 17 is fully screwed in
Thus, it will be the mandrel migration from the start reference to the end reference for the screw-in which will be recorded by the axial movement of the mandrel relative to the slider 7.
For manual movement of the slider 7, this is provided with a button 4, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
DK 2017 70030 A1
The button extends in an axial slot 5 on the side of the cabinet, and it is thus possible to displace the slide piece 7 in the axial direction on the outside of the cabinet.
The purpose of this is to expose the mandrel 17, as shown in Fig. 2 in connection with the use of the tool at the start of a control measurement.
The mandrel 17 is exposed upon return of the button 4 so that the mandrel can be easily guided to abutment against the thread to be checked.
When the mandrel 17 is placed in the correct insertion position, the button 4 can be released, after which the sliding piece 7 will be moved towards the object by means of the spring pressure, after which the starting reference can be relieved.
When the mandrel 17 is screwed to the bottom, its axial movement relative to the yeast piece 7 at the time, with the end piece abutting against the object, can be sensed and the migration of the mandrel 17 will thus be an expression of the engagement length.
ice If the mandrel 17 cannot achieve the required engagement length, the thread does not meet the prescribed.
The electrical control of the motor 16 itself is effected by means of commonly known relief and control systems operated by buttons located externally of the housing. The system includes a control of the torque so that it can be set to the desired torque.
As can be seen from the above description, the motor unit 13, 16 with the axle pin 14 and the carrier 15 are completely enclosed in the slide 7 and thus protected against impurities and damage.
Furthermore, the fixed mounting of these parts to the cabinet will ensure a fully accurate axis of rotation and thus a perfectly stable and accurate movement of the mandrel 17.
This, together with the easy replacement of the driving unit, will make this tool practical and convenient to use.
